Gardens Open Day 29th June 2025

Friends of St Lawrence Church. How is your garden? Looking wet, cold and bedraggled? I know the gardens are not looking their best now, but the snowdrops are out, and the bulbs are coming up and spring is round the corner, closely followed by our Gardens Open Day in June! This is our main fundraiser for 2025 and takes a lot of organising and forward planning.Tickets will be £5 per person under 16 accompanied free. These tickets can be bought from the Local Shop from early June or the church on the day. There will be light refreshments and also cake and plant stalls. The number of gardens open will be announced later in the year.

At present I am looking for Bradfield Gardens to open on Sunday 29th June from 11am to 5pm.They don’t need to be large gardens, or of Chelsea standard and yes you may have some weeds (I claim to be rewilding!) and no you don’t need to know all the Latin names of your plants! People are interested in what you have done with your space. It’s always a lovely day with interesting visitors. You would be fully supported by the Friends Trustees, and we offer advice on security and health and safety matters to all participants. If you are interested in opening, please message me via the contact page with your contact details so we can have a chat.

Other ways you can help: 1) Supplying cakes for a cake stall /refreshments? 2)Supplying plants for the plant stall?

Message me via contact page if you can help. Norma
