Flower Festival A Moment in Time May 2013

Some good weather at last brought the crowds out to enjoy the wonderful flowers and amazing arrangements produced by a team of flower arrangers led by Barbara Coe, Margaret Garner, Katie Huffey and Sheila Large. The imagination and skill to change Moment in Time ideas such as “The Fall of the Berlin Wall”, “Discovery of the DNA Double Helix”, “Eureka!” and ” The Parting of the Red Sea” to name but a few, into flower arrangements is truly amazing.

The flowers together with the stalls raised £2,644 which will eventually be used to pay for repairs to the stained glass windows.

Our thanks go to all the arrangers and the many people who helped in any way over the weekend.

History Book Launch 12th April

Wow! What a really great evening. Around 100 people came to the BVA Hall to launch “Bradfield a history of an Essex village.” There was a wonderful cross section of the village from those who have lived here for years, to those just arrived, from young, to not so young, all clutching their drinks and chatting nineteen to the dozen about the village.

We are pleased to report that sales have been excellent and the book is now running in profit. Well done the team and thank you for all your hard work.
