Gardens Open Day 2015 results

Thanks to the garden owners who worked so hard to get their gardens ready and the volunteers who helped on the day we had yet another successful Gardens Open Day. The Sunday weather was kind to us and large numbers visited throughout the day sampling various refreshments as they travelled around the village.
The day was very successful with a total profit of £1,452 on the day, which will be put towards money needed to clean and restore the stained glass windows at St Lawrence Church. This was the 22nd time the event has been run and during these years we raised a total of £29,902.

I am glad to say that the window project is progressing with the faculty for the work having now been received and grants are being applied for. The PCC are now waiting for a start date from the builders. We do however still need to work hard to raise the amount of money needed to cover the full cost of the project, so onward to the next event “Let there be Cheese and Wine “ on Saturday 18th July.( See Events for details)
